Enugu Rangers manager Imama Amapakabo has signed a new two-year deal with Nigeria Professional League champions. Imama led the Flying Antelopes to their first
Nigeria topflight diadem in 36 years and the new deal will see him earn
more money.
Speaking to Goal, Amapakabo said: “Yes, I’ve signed a new two years contract with Rangers yesterday."
It is a very comfortable contract, I will be earning much more than I
earned last year, so I’m very comfortable with the contract.”
Imama
also spoke on defending the title and competing in the CAF champions
league indicating that preparations are already on going.
“We
will not just be preparing for the Caf Champions League, we will also
be preparing for the League and the Federation Cup. And as a coach, I
want to win every title, and to do that, we need
to push the team a little, we are also going to get some players to
bolster some of the areas we think needed to be strengthened.
“I cannot disclose that because that is subject to the management’s
decision, but yesterday I have given them the list of players I want
retained for next season, but then it is their place for them to settle
it.”
